Mark Panneton, DDS
Dr. Mark Panneton is a 1987 graduate of the Creighton University Dental School. After graduation he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Creighton University where his primary focus was oral surgery. Dr. Panneton has also completed extensive training in orthodontics, implants, and reconstructive dentistry. He is dedicated to finding common sense solutions to problems that affect the overall systemic health of his patients. By utilizing sedation dentistry, Dr. Panneton is able to achieve full mouth restorations in two visits. Working in conjunction with oral surgeons and plastic surgeons, he has helped restore patients who have been involved in traumatic injuries back to dental health.
He has been practicing in the Sarpy County area for over 25 years. Currently, he practices dentistry with an emphasis on aesthetics and reconstruction at Panneton Dental Group in Omaha and at Val Verde Dental in La Vista, Nebraska.
Dr. Panneton has been providing care for the Lancer hockey team for over 25 years.
Dr. Panneton enjoys spending time with his wife Nicole and his four children, Lindsey, Derek, Cooper and Ava.
Elizabeth Sand, DDS
Dr. Elizabeth Sand was born and raised in Lakeville, Minnesota. She moved to Nebraska to attend college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and then went on to attend the UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln where she graduated in 2016.
Dr. Sand’s passion for patient care started when she was young. She has worked and volunteered in many different health care arenas, ultimately falling in love with dentistry. Dentistry allows Dr. Sand to use her creative talents and nurturing personality to change patients’ lives for the better. Whether she is taking her patients out of discomfort or pain, designing their dream smiles, or talking preventative healthcare measures, Dr. Sand is adept in all areas of dentistry. Her comprehensive work and attention to detail have even helped detect early onset cancer in one case!
Dr. Sand enjoys learning new, cutting edge dental techniques and technologies. She hopes to conquer patients’ fears of the dentist and provide them with a comfortable and safe environment that they will ultimately feel comfortable returning to for years to come. Dr. Sand loves the relationships that dentistry allows her to build with her patients.
Dr. Sand resides with her spouse, Travis, and their dog, Nino, in Blair. They enjoy spending time together going on walks, camping, working out, and traveling. Dr. Sand likes to cook, bake, and read a good book. Dr. Sand has volunteered her clinical skills at Nebraska Mission of Mercy clinics and Lincoln’s People City Mission. Dr. Sand is a member of the American Dental Association, Nebraska Dental Association, Omaha District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Sydney Burianek, DDS
Dr. Sydney Burianek grew up in Sioux Falls, SD. She attended University of Nebraska- Lincoln and UNMC College of Dentistry, graduating in 2021.
Dr. Burianek aspired to be a dentist at the young age of six years old. She even dressed up as a dentist for career day in kindergarten. Dr. Burianek excelled in gymnastics, track, academics and most importantly, developing relationships with people of all backgrounds, cultures and abilities. She has been on multiple missions trips including Peru and Jamaica and looks forward to many more.
Dr. Burianek's compassion, empathy and attention to detail help her design individual treatment plans to achieve the best possible outcome for every patient. She loves seeing her restorative cases not only change the patients smile, but change their lives. Dr. Burianek loves kids and wants to show them how fun dentistry really is. She brings talent and warmth to the practice and is most excited to expand her knowledge in sedation dentistry and dental implants by attending continuing education courses and collaborating with Dr. Panneton.
Dr. Burianek lives in Omaha with her husband Nick and their two dogs, Dexter (husky) and Thor (flat-coat retriever). She is a self-proclaimed "foodie" and has been to over 600 restaurants. She loves to travel, attend Husker and Creighton athletic events and enjoys quality time with family and friends.
Leah Kreifels, DMD
Dr. Leah Kreifels was born and raised in Huron, South Dakota. She attended The University of South Dakota where she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2010. She practiced as a registered dental hygienist for 6 years. She then attended Midwestern University School of Dentistry where she graduated in 2020.
Dr. Kreifels is truly passionate about all things dentistry. She enjoys spending time getting to know her patients and what makes them unique. In return, she aims to create a positive dental experience as well as provide excellent individualized care to each person. She believes that oral health care is a critical component to a person’s overall well-being and after being a hygienist for 6 years, she values the combined efforts amongst her team in contributing to the patients long-term health.
Dr. Kreifels is not shy when it comes to expanding her education. She is committed to lifelong learning and enjoys being of the first to learn the newest technologies in order to provide the best results for her patients.
Dr. Kreifels lives in Bellevue with her husband, Nate and their son Kai. During their free time they can be found at the zoo, walking around their neighborhood and in the warmer months, spending time at the lake.
